Montebello Attic Insulation offers both open-cell and closed-cell spray foam for applications where a traditional blown-in or batt solution isn't sufficient — including unvented attic assemblies, rim joists, crawl space walls, and areas with complex geometry that require a seamless, air-impermeable finish.
Closed-cell spray foam has the highest R-value per inch of any common insulation material (approximately R-6 to R-7 per inch) and also acts as a vapor retarder, making it ideal for areas exposed to moisture or requiring structural reinforcement. Open-cell foam is lighter, less expensive, and provides excellent sound dampening, making it a popular choice for interior attic assemblies where moisture control is less of a concern. Both types expand on contact to fill every crack and cavity, creating a continuous air and thermal barrier.
